“Being must be felt. It can’t be thought”

- Eckhart Tolle

Hi, I’m Andrea. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who uses a holistic approach in psychotherapy. I am passionate about working with the mind, body, and spirit; incorporating each part of you into treatment. My therapeutic style is warm, laid back, comfortable, and relatable. My wish is for you to feel accepted and heard, not like a client who is being analyzed and diagnosed. As a therapist, I am eclectic- meaning I do my absolute best to tailor my approach to you.

My journey to becoming a therapist all started with a psychology class in high school where I realized how much I loved learning about people. Along the way, my own struggles and challenges in life have all have informed who I am as a therapist. Today, I can’t imagine doing anything else.

When I’m not working with people, you will find me outside in nature, baking, deepening my own spiritual practices, practicing yoga, advocating and volunteering, and spending quality time with my people.

about me

Mind + body approach

As an eclectic therapist, I draw from these approaches when working with you:

Somatic Experiencing therapy- Our body tells us a lot. I help you tap in to what it may be saying. With my training in SE, you will learn practices and skills to slow down, and be with your body, sensations, and feelings. my hope is for you to feel more capable and empowered in recognizing signs within your body, being able to feel more in control of what’s happening within your body.

Internal Family Systems- Honoring the multiplicity of our minds, IFS can be helpful to identify different parts of our Self we have within us, get to know them, listen to them, and ultimately create harmony and wholeness.

Narrative Therapy- what story do you tell yourself, about your life, experiences, and who you are? Narrative therapy helps you feel like the expert in your life, moving past problematic storylines you’ve been telling yourself. You are the writer and narrator of your life.

Other modalities I heavily pull from in my treatment:

Humanistic

Existential

Depth Psychology

Solution-Focused

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

+ multi-faceted spiritual lenses
